SIVTRO MEMBERS MEETING 2010 AND PUBLIC CONFERENCE
Ethno-veterinary: tradition, science, cultural heritage. Case studies from Southern Countries
October 29-30 2010, Bologna
As usual, the annual meeting of SIVTRO members, was preceded by a public conference. The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Bologna University offered a plenary room, to host a high-level Conference on ethno-veterinary, an interesting issue that calls the attention of experts, students and other 'friends' of our association.Three outstanding experts animated the event: Evelyn Mathias (among the top experts of this discipline, from the League for Pastoral Peoples) Alberto Zorloni (researcher, expert on ethno-veterinary and development) Gabriele Volpato (ethno-botanist, specialized on the plants ethno-veterinary heritage from the Saharawi peoples).
Many students and researchers attended this conference, together with SIVtro members from all the Italian regional groups.
